Eustis City Docks and Downtown Eustis

The City of Eustis is a small lakefront City located on the northeast shore of Lake Eustis. The City maintains a large waterfront area of floating docks that can accommodate most lake sized boats. From the City docks, the downtown area restaurants are just a short walk away. Eustis is another city that has been going through a significant renaissance since the Waterman Hospital relocated 10 years ago. The city is very “Old Florida” with newer buildings being constructed to maintain the same look as the older buildings. The lakefront Crazy Gator Restaurant is in an old storage building and contains many antiques and photos from the early days of Eustis. Sol de Mexico, Tillie’s Tavern, El Marie Pizza and Sub Shoppe, CJ’s Seafood, Chris’s Place, and Foxtail Coffee are among the choices in downtown Eustis and walkable from the city dock.

Tavares Seaplane Base (On Lake Dora)

Tavares is the County Seat of Lake County Florida. Behind the strictly business Court and Government buildings is the Tavares Waterfront Entertainment District that is quickly becoming a popular area for locals and visitors. This area is directly on the water and adjacent to a sizeable public dock area. Kahlua Beach Bar is directly in front of the docks along with several smaller but no less popular restaurants. Puddle Jumpers enjoys views of the Seaplane Basin or try seafood and Florida dishes at Tiki West and Raw Bar. Other walkable eateries include Buster Tubbs, The Dawg House, BTW, The Deli Llama, Ruby Street Grille, or one of the county’s oldest restaurants, O'Keefe's Irish Pub.
