July 22, 2005 - Front suspension rebuild and upgrade.

After shopping around a little, the front suspension was rebuilt using a Mustangs Unlimited Kit because they had the best price.  The kit was great as it came with everything except a few small odds and ends. The kit came with straight lube fittings (bummer), so I installed 90 degree fittings from NPD. Mustang's Unlimited also provided the 600 lb/in 1" lowering springs and the cool 1" gold anodized sway bar.  Since this page was originally created I lowered the upper A arms using a really cool Shelby Drop template I bought from one of the Vintage Mustang Forum Members. I also plan to drop the rear of the car 1" if tire clearance allows.

Here's the new 600 lb/in coil springs installed on top of the new spring mount and A-arm that came in the kit.

Here's the whole assembly installed and waiting for the backing plates.  Spindles were bead blasted and painted with Greg Donahue cast iron paint.

One inch sway bar is massive and looks great sitting under the engine bay.
