June 15, 2006 - It's Alive!

After months of waiting and sweat, the Cobra spec engine finally lives!  Bought this great engine test stand from Mighty Mount and was I glad I did.  Worked out all kinds of problems before installing the engine in the car.  I'm sure I would have scratched the paint in the process.  Costs a lot of money, but well worth double the price.

Here's the Cobra spec engine sitting on the engine test stand in front of my garage.  The upside down headers are needed because of the way the engine mounts.  Problems were many; wrong starter, old E4B manifold was not the best, so I bought a new Blue Thunder intake, Etc.  The Holman & Moody Lemans cam is music to my ears!

This is the way to break in an engine. Like having your own dyno.  Neighbors are not trying to burn down my house due to the mufflers.  The dog is another story!
