February 10, 2007 - We're Cruisin' Now!

After two years of work, I finally have my Shelby Clone. The car turned out much better than I ever thought it would.  I learned a lot along the way and am still making modifications.  Had to swap the 4.11 gear to a 3.70 because the gear was just too low to cruise comfortably at 60 mph.   Even with the 3.70 gear, the car is very strong and runs away from most stock 5.0s and Mod Motors .... but we can always use more power!

The stance is perfect.  Had to change the front tires to 205/6015s to keep speed bump rubbing to a minimum.

Real Cobra  wheel, dash pod, Cobra mats, radio delete, Hurst shifter and Shelby signature ... life is good!

So far no problems with the Cobra motor. Took a while to tune the Lemans Holley, but it now idles like a rock.  Off idle response is excellent, even with the big cam.
