Undercoating removal....Uck!! |

So you say you want to restore a classic car? Lay on your back for about 50 hours with black greasy dirt and goo dripping on your head and see how you like it... |

Here I am scraping 51 years of undercoating, dirt and grim from the bottom of the '57 Custom. You really have to like the car a bunch to stay with this job. |

It's a slow
process, I but loosen the undercoating with a couple of coats of mineral
spirits, then use a razor blade style gasket scraper to remove it.

After I removed everything I could I coated the entire bottom of the car with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. Lots of fun!! |
